Wind Turbines in the Mekong Delta

Could wind turbines save the Mekong Delta?

Studies indicate that if the Mekong mainstream dams are built, Vietnam’s share of the power would only cover about 4.4% of the national demand. Critics argue this energy is not worth the environmental impacts to the delta from building the dams, and other sources should be found. With its long coastline and prevailing winds, the delta itself might just provide the answer.
